VVCMCC ACT Annual Presentation Dinner
Saturday, 27 August 2011

It's the morning after the night before and I must say that Craig and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves last night at the Dinner. The company, as always was lovely, the buffet was scrumptious and the desserts divine. OK, the canapes were a little on the ho hum side so I'll see what I can do for next year.

This year two additional awards were presented to recognise the efforts of the Back Up Trailer and BBQ Trailer volunteers. Congratulations to the inaugural winners of Geoff Duddy for his efforts for being BBQ chef for 5 of the BBQs and Simon Whittaker for attending to Back Up duties 3 times during the year. The other categories remained the same as previous years and the winners are listed below along with what bikes they rode to accumulate the points.

The Morisset Trophy went to Col Hill who had accumulated 91points with Craig Mill hot on his heels in second place with 85 points and Steve Davey in third place with 75 points. As you would remember from a few magazines ago, it's not necessarily the number of times you venture out but the age of the bike you ride. The older the bike the more points you get.

The Club Person of the year was awarded to Steve Keough for his tireless and exceptional work in maintaining the Clubs web site, a site that has won the praises of followers nation wide, and also for his assistance in setting up the run calendar this year. Congratulations Steve for all your work, it is very much appreciated by the Club.

Thanks to everyone who attended last night's dinner. I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as it looked like and hope to see you all again next year.

Cheers,

Lisa Mill.
