On a rather mild and windy morning, quite a collection of diehards gathered at the Club for an entertaining ride to the Murrumbateman Pub. I say entertaining as gustily winds kept us on our toes and many opting to don the wet weathers during the ride to play cat and mouse with the rain. With Lorraine calling the troops together for briefing we were off; the ride took us to the Federal Hwy, through Sutton then onto the Murrumbateman Road and to the cosy (and dark) Pub.
It was here that we noticed a few riders missing: Steve Keough on his modern BMW had a clutch issue which resulted in the bike getting a ride to the Pub with Steve high and dry in the car. There was a breakdown at Manuka before the ride and with the Marklands delivering the bike and rider back to Queanbeyan there was a delay in getting to Steve. The kind folk at the Pub were well prepared for our arrival and we certainly didn't have to wait long for our meals to arrive. Many thanks to Natalie and Colin Markland for their back up duties with their services well used.
