By about 10:25am some 20 bikes lined up at the Services Club for what promised to be a nice day out at the Shannons Wheels 2009 Display on the lawns of Old Parliament House. Mick Gentleman called all to order for a riders brief and then we were off. A leisurely ride around the Lake in beautiful weather was just the ticket and on arrival we set up in the usual spot on the 'closed off' King Edward Terrace.
The vehicle displays were impressive. From Fire Trucks, Skylines, HSVs, FPVs to classics and veterans. They were all a sight to see. I have it on good authority that there were 1101 vehicles on display; incredible. A pleasant day was had by all. We ended up with about 30 vehicles on display.
